Bearded Reedling

Especially in the early morning hours, when the light is soft, you can capture atmospheric images of bearded reedlings. A long focal length and fast autofocus are very helpful here. These lively birds rarely sit still and are quite agile. My usual setup is the Canon R5II and the 100-500mm lens, which I supplement with the 1.4x extender in good lighting conditions.
